Kōkako on Karaka

Acrylic on canvas, ‘Kōkako on Karaka’ is my celebration one of Aotearoa’s most unique birds, the North Island Kōkako. The striking blue wattle is juxtaposed against the vibrant orange background, a colour I associate with the intense sunsets of my South Waikato family home.
