Another world

In this watercolor painting defined by pen line work we see a portal or door leading to “another world”. Inside there is a vast empty ocean, flowing in unnatural ways. A jellyfish and a “sharktopus”- a cross between a shark and an octopus are swimming or floating into their odd oceanic world. The portal itself is an abandoned door encrusted with broken mauve tiles along with more broken tiles forming stairs leading up and into the portal. This artwork can be interpreted in many other ways- Some may imagine the creatures are having a head on battle or they are the guardians of the door. Use your imagination!
