Born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, I moved to New Zealand with my family in 2004. As a young girl, my love for animals was evident. Especially horses, you could find me either being with them or drawing them.
As a completely self-taught artist, I work in different media, like graphite, polychromes and acrylics, but my favorite for portraiture are the soft pastels. After working with soft pastels for over 35 years, I have developed my own style, realism with a certain spontaneity, aiming to capture every unique personality.
I enjoy and welcome commissions, as they’re an important part of my work.
