Coming down the hill track

The walk up Pauanui mountain is steep, climbing around tree roots and rocks, but the view from the top is stunning. Coming down the track you get a completely different perspective, with glimpses to the beach below through the bush and pines. This is one part of the track where you come around a corner and have an unexpected view down onto the beach as the path drops away. The light is dappled and picks out the rocks and trees with the bright sand below.
