Balance

This work was created in response to ideas of balance and interconnectedness – within the natural world, our manmade world, and our inner world. Made from multi-ply strips of reclaimed paper packaging, woven directly onto canvas, the projections were created to play with light – to create shadows that shift over time. I choose reclaimed materials in my work because they are inexpensive and accessible, allowing me to experiment extensively, while knowing all the while that what does not work, can be dealt with sustainably.
