This oil piece entered in the 2025 Franklin Arts Festival is titled “Got my Respect”. Inspired by Lynda Jane’s frequent travel to Australia and connection felt with the indigenous aboriginal people. From this portrait representation, it is her hope that viewers can appreciate their wisdom and culture. And perhaps give inspiration to learn more about the 65,000-year history of the first peoples of Australia.
