‘Kaitiakitanga’ is a dry-point etching that shows how important is for Māori, the rightful owners of the land to properly inform tourists how to respect and care for Aotearoa. Due to negligence and a lack of knowledge of New Zealand etiquette it is extremely common for tourists to use Aotearoa’s lush landscapes as their personal dumping ground. The illustrations that surround the etching personifies the blatant disrespect for Māori tikanga and manu whenua from visiting tourists.
