Marineland

Growing up in Tauranga, this painting carries a hint of nostalgic remembrance of the old Marineland, later transformed into an aquatic fun park for humans, now also defunct. Beyond this, it reflects the ways we seek to build around, contain and redirect water, shaping a tenuous relationship between our natural and urban environment.
