Seen Better Days

Like so many rustic villas of their day, they have either gone, are in a state of collapse, or beautifully restored. I have tried to capture the essence of our number 8 wire mentality, where we have adopted the ‘She’ll be Right’ attitude. The gate strung up by wire, the battens almost deemed useless, the villa in a sad state of disrepair, the possum guard on the power pole, and of course the hydrangeas on the lawn – all what you would expect to see in a rural setting somewhere in New Zealand
