Shared Ground

This collaborative sculpture explores the tension between individuality and collective existence, asking what it means to belong within a community while remaining distinct.
The clustered ceramics forms create a shared foundation, their bodies intertwined until individual identities blur. Together they suggest a parade, a migration- an organism of many parts.
Beneath them, frottage prints made from textured surfaces record memory, place, and lived experiences through touch.
Above, an intricate timber lattice represents neural pathways, an architecture of a collective minds, symbolizing shared communication, ideas and intelligence.
Suspended in balance, it reflects a living system sustained by co-operation rather than hierarchy.
