This piece emerged from a place of quiet reflection. The Life Within is about the emotions we often keep hidden—grief, growth, resilience—and how they shape who we become. The eye holds a tree, symbolising the life rooted deep inside us: fragile yet enduring. I chose charcoal for its ability to convey softness, shadow, and vulnerability. This drawing is a reminder that even in stillness, we’re evolving. It’s a personal meditation on how time leaves its mark—not just in memory, but in the very way we see and feel the world around us.
