Sunflowers After the Storm - 2026
This photograph was after the storm. The Sunflowers were vertical in my garden before the heavy rain and gale force winds decided to move them around. This image was from the following foggy morning.
A mixed media collage of a quiet cottage, a home which exists not only as a physical place but as a feeling, suspended between memory and imagination. Surrounded by symbols of growth and wonder. In the dark backdrop a luminous moon overlooks the textured landscape.
This is a small moment in time that captures a story only heard by the heart. Natural dyes and textiles are a medium I love to work with and playing with small pieces like this brings me endless joy, as I play with multiple possibilities. At some point my heart says ‘stop now.’
