The kererū is one of New Zealand’s most iconic native birds – bold in colour yet gentle in nature. This pastel artwork celebrates the quiet companionship often found in the bush, inviting us to pause and appreciate the simple moments and connections that make our natural world so rich.
Screen print by hand. In late winter, our Kōwhai flowers. All the leaves have fallen. The seed pods remain. The blue background represents a clear winter’s sky.
