The Mother Nature Recreator - 2025
The Mother Nature Recreator is a provocative upcycled sculpture made from repurposed mirror, melted CDs, an old oven timer, tap, and resin-coated roses. Reflecting the human urge to tinker with nature’s balance, this one-of-a-kind piece dares us to consider whether our solutions are healing — or harming — the planet.
A combination of different pottery techniques have been used to create this work – mold making, hand building, sgraffito, spraying, and intaglio – to give form to the ephemeral nature and beauty of the sunrise.
A glass artist is part scientist; part artist. I love the way that by using the physics of glass a piece so delicate can be created with so many beautiful interwoven colours.
