Palette knife impasto technique with oil paint. Complimented and the complete opposite colours entwined attracts the eye. A colour explosion kept together by a frame. Multiple effects were applied with a wide variety of palette knifes and some brush.
This painting is about addiction in loved ones. I wanted to represent the guilt, culpability and self-isolation associated with this. Contrast is expressed both in the colour choices, and the variability between internal turmoil and the face we present to the world.
