Annaliese Duke, a young artist from Patumahoe, crafts vivid narratives through her art, inspired by her journey into adulthood as a young woman. Annaliese’s work also explores the connection between humanity and nature, reclaiming the untamed spirit of childhood. Using surrealism, intricate details, and vibrant colours, she tells stories of anxiety, sexuality, femininity, and history – inviting viewers to reflect on the complexities of the human experience.
