• Inspired by: visual perceptions processed and transmuted by weird brain activity
• Specialized in slab work
– hanging epiphyte pots (orchids, bromeliads)
– kinetic hanging ceramic art
– tabletop sculpture
– wall sculpture
• Founder/facilitator of the Franklin Pottery Club
• Pottery tutor (several employments outside Pukekohe)
• Studied Chemistry and Fine Arts at Phillips University Marburg (Germany)
• His sprigs, rollers and stamps are carved from wood or clay
• Researched and developed chemical reactions on clay surfaces in order to produce “crack pottery” and lava-look surfaces
• Retired chemistry/science teacher – Pukekohe High School
