Helen Sweeney- Early years were spent sketching(mainly horses).Both parents were painters(oils).They encouraged her to transition to oils,sold her 1st painting at 18yrs.Art was taken as a credit at Teachers College.
A switch to watercolour occurred when illustrating ‘blown-up books’, for a local primary school’s reading programme. Being self taught has attended many workshops to learn as much as possible. Returning to the art scene after a long break is challenging but enjoyable.
