After discovering the inspiring beauty of the Coromandel and moving to Whitianga thirteen years ago Jenny Cotterell began her journey as an artist. She joined the Whitianga Art Group and enjoys the company of like-minded people.
Jenny works in acrylics on a variety of subjects, painting mostly realism, sometimes stylized. She loves painting birds and other living creatures. Her inspiration comes from her travels, natural surroundings and quirky little things that create an image she can put on canvas.
More recently Jenny has become intrigued with pointillism (inspired by Aboriginal art) and enjoys experimenting with this technique.
