I have been a leather worker at Leathersmiths, East Tamaki for 7 years now and discovered my love for sculpture while I was a student at Whitecliffe School of Art at Design. My works are created from leather scraps, cut to shape, handsewn and nailed to wood. My world has fallen apart in the last year, post a separation with children. My sculptures are pieces of my life put back together and creating them has been a comfort for me when I needed them most.
