Lisa Watkins

Lisa Watkins (MyShinyMadness) is a West Auckland-based sustainability artist known for bold, layered works made from discarded materials — from CDs and VHS tapes to nail polish bottles and industrial offcuts. Her sculptural practice explores resilience, eco-feminism, identity, and consumerism, infused with social commentary, humour, and nostalgic grit. A former chef, DJ, and cake designer, Lisa returned to art as a way to process, play, and protest. Since 2023, she’s won First Place at the Waitākere Arts Awards, the Top Honour at the Localised Sustainability Awards, and a scholarship to The Learning Connexion.
