Lucie Anderson

Lucie Anderson is a contemporary artist based in Napier, working with alcohol inks and hand-cut corrugated cardboard. Her practice explores the delicate balance between control and surrender, drawing inspiration from nature, light, and emotion. In her Textured Lightworks, she carves intricate patterns that cast soft shadows, giving form to memory and movement. Her alcohol ink works, with their luminous, fluid layers, evoke moments of stillness, mystery, and becoming. Whether through paper or pigment, Lucie creates pieces that invite reflection and quiet awe, offering viewers a sense of wonder in the spaces between what is seen and what is felt.
