Patricia Holliss

A New Zealand-born artist, Patricia studied design, painting, and drawing in England some years ago, before returning to New Zealand and developing her own unique Kiwi style work. Her award-winning paintings adorn the walls of private homes in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Patricia pushes the boundaries of conventional watercolor techniques. Combining a careful, stylized design, with plenty of colour and spontaneous wet-in-wet techniques, she brings a fresh approach to capturing New Zealand’s native flora, fauna, and landscapes.
The objective of her work is to express the sense of wonder and delight that she enjoys when she is immersed in the splendour and complexities of the natural world. She endeavours to engage the interaction of viewers by illuminating the beauty, energy and tranquillity of the wilderness in the hope that her representations inspire others to experience and protect the harmony of our precious earthly environment.
