As every photographer knows, fantails are notoriously hard to photograph, due to the fact that they are constantly on the move, as they flit and dart amongst the trees and shrubs looking for insects to consume. Most days, many silvereye birds will visit my home and sometimes the odd fantail or two will pass through. If a fantail does visit – I will often grab my camera from the kitchen table and then dash outside. On one occasion I felt I was extremely lucky to get a photo of this particular fantail against a glorious blue sky.
