Handwoven from a variety of yarns including wool, cotton and linen and then embroidered with wool yarn dyed with harakeke seedpods.

A combination of different pottery techniques have been used to create this work – mold making, hand building, sgraffito, spraying, and intaglio – to give form to the ephemeral nature and beauty of the sunrise.
A glass artist is part scientist; part artist. I love the way that by using the physics of glass a piece so delicate can be created with so many beautiful interwoven colours.
Layered pieces of felted fibre partially conceal one another. Overlapping geometric sections of artwork, each carrying soft etherial cloud-like forms in silk fibre represent the ways in which we attempt to order our lives. Parts of ourselves that we are less inclined to share with others we strive to keep hidden.
