An abstract painterly photograph that reimagines a tree as a symbol of love, connection and quiet strength – evoking emotion through texture and form.
This abstract oil painting is inspired by the vibrant colours and earthy textures of my garden. It captures the spirit of nature as seen and felt within my backyard sanctuary.
An uncomfortable bisection - 2025
My paintings tend to be loose representations of imagined underground forms and systems. Formed over millennia, subject to physical forces and actions, on a time scale that is hard for me to fathom. With this imagery, I reference an unseen world that sometimes seems difficult to grasp, but which I sense throughout the natural world.
Painted on corrugated cardboard. The snow peaked mountains surround the river with a lemon yellow sun providing light.
I was raised on a dairy farm and have always loved cows, they are so nosey! I like to spend time sitting in the paddock and wait for them to come to me and see what transpires.
I enjoyed capturing the soft curves of this camellia, the pale pastel pink with the darker leading edge of the petals drawing you through the image.
This is a Surreal work of Tataraimaka Hall in Taranaki. I capture a fleeting glimpses of the country side as I speed past on my road trips. Into this image of a lonely country hall I have inserted the strange and ominous image of a jellyfish floating above the intersection.
Mixed Media, paper, paint, wire and thread. Shadow box frame.
