‘Leone with Nasturtium’ is a contemporary still life featuring flowers often seen as weeds displayed in a Leone pastille tin used as a vase. Its aim is to draw attention to the beauty in the ordinary.
‘Leone with Zinnia’ is a still life that combines an everyday object with detailed botanical forms. It features flowers from my garden in a Leone pastille tin, celebrating the extraordinary in the everyday.
Oil on canvas board Inspired by a photograph on @dogspoopinginprettyplaces, I was reminded how dogs just really don’t care, at all. And I felt this was something we all need to be reminded; to just slow down and have a laugh when times are tough.

My work captures the delicate and fleeting energy of spring flowers. By combining the precision of ink with the fluid unpredictability of water colour. I have tried to document the seasonal transition from winter dormancy to vibrant life, thus celebrating renewal, growth and the fragile beauty of the natural world.
