This woodturned artwork is multi-axis turned from one piece of Matai wood, then textured with pyrography. It is painted with iridescent acrylic paint and the interior of the vessels stippled with iridescent gold paint.
No two are the same. We are not perfect. our bodies are not perfect. As we get older things change, move, realign,.. drop. What was close to perfection now is close to your knees. I have started making these works to spark discussions around women’s health, breast cancer, and the destructive negative body image.
