When I see a flock of birds flying I am reminded that they are looked after. It reminds me that I’m looked after, that they’re is abundance in this life. Often in the distance they can’t be seen clearly so I have tried to capture that motion. Acrylic on canvas board

Matariki is the theme of this painting, where families/friends gather to celebrate and remember ones who have passed celebrate the present and plan for the future. The theme of abundance is relevant to the abundance of love, friendship and sharing of food and memories at this special time.
