Who is she? She looks familiar. She wears a half grin as she looks to the left of the viewer. The curved line on her chin is perhaps the moko of her mountain and the view to the garden tells us she is of the land.
The artist has used pointillism and 32 points of the star compass to bring together indigenous art inspiration and star navigation with compass locations.
