Kelly Rowe is an Auckland-based artist with a background in architecture and interior design. Her paintings explore the meeting point of landscape, atmosphere and shelter, using pared-back architectural forms to investigate distance, recognition and belonging. Working in layered oil paint, she is interested in the conditions from which an image slowly emerges rather than describing a particular place. Kelly received a Merit Award at the National Contemporary Art Award in 2025 and is represented by Parnell Gallery, Auckland.
