I am 15 years old in year 11 at Pukekohe High School. I have just started painting this year for NCEA and I am really enjoying it. What I enjoy most about painting is that I don\’t have to say anything, verbally at least. My art explores the theme of light – who is the light attracted to and who is attracted to the light, but most of all, who deserves the light? This represents power and injustice, and I enjoy the challenge of communicating these ideas through paint. Through this process, I have learnt that quality painting comes from the depths of a subject and the way you understand it. I hope you enjoy my work.
