After retiring in 2017 as a Methodist minister for a Deaf Church in Auckland, I started working as a counsellor for children going through tough times. Wanting to help them, I began creating books, but they needed illustrating which led to studying watercolour technique online for the past couple of years. Discovering these skills has been a real joy. So now, in my mid-seventies, I am submitting my first contribution to the Franklin Arts Competition, using my dyslexic understanding of life, enjoying jam-packed thoughts and the multi-faceted ideas that tumble over each other in their desire to explore life.
Thank you to all our sponsors
On behalf of the Franklin Arts Festival we would like to extend our gratitude to all our sponsors.
Without their generous patronage the Art Show would not take place.
As an event we depend on their support and in return we hope you can support them too.
