Into the Wild: Fox III

‘Into the Wild’ series of paintings were inspired from seeing her children go through the stages of developing their individual personalities and realising their place in their world. Seeing them wrestling with the belief of staying unique to themselves but also feeling the pull to fit in. Dressing up in costume seems to allow a person to let themselves be ‘free’ like a mask. This animal hood series is loosely based on the Childrens book ‘Where the Wild Things are’, escapism, using their imagination to a magical land filled with wild things.
