The natural rock archway of Cathedral Cove is an iconic New Zealand symbol. The rock through the archway is named Te Hoho meaning standing out and prominent. This view is from a photo I took three years ago before it was closed to the public after Cyclone Gabrielle. The sea around the cove is Te Whanganui a Hei Marine Reserve.
I feel proud to identify with this place as we keep our Tiaki promise to care for and protect this iconic place where I live.
