Worm Hole

An imagined piece of loss and hope. With the stars of Matariki above him the last huia has been sucked through a worm hole space portal. Surrounded by the undersea creatures and bats that made the journey with him he is trapped in space and time on the edge of a event horizon. Perhaps one day he might be found and his DNA used to save his species.
I was initially inspired by how similar the deep ocean is to outer space.
